According to a new leak, Apple may change the placement of its iconic Apple logo on the upcoming iPhone 17 Pro.
Leaker Majin Bu claims Apple will reposition the logo lower on the back of the phone, placing it below the new horizontal camera bar. The Apple logo has been centered since the iPhone 11, but if this leak proves true, it would mark the first major shift in logo placement in six years.
The rumored change is said to improve brand visibility, especially with the new rear camera layout dominating the top section of the device. Majin Bu also says that case makers are already adjusting their designs to account for the new logo location. He even noted that MagSafe ring designs are being altered to keep the Apple logo visible through clear or open cases.
While Majin Bu has had a mixed track record, he correctly predicted the iPhone 16 Pro’s “Desert Titanium” color name months in advance. Still, some analysts are skeptical of the claim, calling the design change “unusual” and questioning its practical benefit.
That said, there is precedent. The iPhone 11 logo placement was also leaked early by case manufacturers adjusting their designs ahead of launch.
As always, Apple has not confirmed any details about the iPhone 17 lineup. More reliable information is expected closer to its likely fall 2025 launch.
