Apple is preparing to launch the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max in September 2025, and leaks are already revealing key features.
From a redesigned frame to powerful new cameras, here’s what’s expected for Apple’s next-generation Pro models.
1. New Aluminum Frame
Apple is rumored to switch from titanium to aluminum, marking a shift from the iPhone 15 and 16 Pro models. The back of the device will reportedly feature a part-aluminum, part-glass design.
2. Larger Rectangular Camera Bump
The camera bump will now be rectangular with rounded edges, though Apple is keeping the triangular lens arrangement from previous models.
3. Scratch-Resistant Display
The iPhone 17 Pro will feature a more durable anti-reflective coating, making the screen more resistant to scratches.
4. Bigger Battery
The iPhone 17 Pro Max is expected to have a slightly thicker body, allowing for a larger battery to improve battery life.
5. A19 Pro Chip
Apple’s new A19 Pro chip will bring improved performance and power efficiency, thanks to TSMC’s third-generation 3nm process.
6. Apple-Designed Wi-Fi 7 Chip
For the first time, all iPhone 17 models will feature a Wi-Fi 7 chip designed by Apple, replacing Broadcom’s version.
7. 24MP Front Camera
The front-facing camera will be upgraded to 24 megapixels, a major leap from the 12MP camera found in the iPhone 16 series.
8. 48MP Telephoto Camera
The rear Telephoto camera will now feature a 48MP sensor, significantly improving zoom and detail.
9. 12GB RAM for Pro Models
Both iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max will get 12GB of RAM, up from 8GB, which should improve multitasking and performance.
10. Better Cooling System
Apple is working on improved heat dissipation, with rumors of a vapor chamber cooling system for the Pro models.
The iPhone 17 Pro is shaping up to be a significant upgrade, especially in terms of camera technology, processing power, and battery life.
However, some fans have criticized Apple’s switch to aluminum, arguing that titanium was a premium material worth keeping.
Will the iPhone 17 Pro be worth the upgrade? Stay tuned for more leaks as the launch date approaches!
