iPhone 17 Case Leaks Reveal Camera Redesign Ahead of Apple Launch

iPhone 17 Pro Max Concept Design

Apple is preparing to launch its iPhone 17 lineup on September 9, but new leaks have already revealed fresh details about the upcoming devices.

Prolific leaker Evan Blass shared images of protective cases from well-known accessory brand Urban Armor Gear (UAG). The cases show design changes in the iPhone 17 series, particularly for the Air, Pro, and Pro Max models.

The iPhone 17 Air is expected to feature a single rear camera within a pill-shaped module, drawing comparisons to Google’s Pixel phones. The case also includes cutouts for Apple’s new Camera Control and Action Button.

Meanwhile, the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max appear to have redesigned rear camera modules, differentiating them from last year’s iPhone 16 models. The standard iPhone 17 is likely to retain a design similar to its predecessor.

Apple’s September 9 event will take place at 10 AM PT at the Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino, California. Alongside the iPhone 17 lineup, the company is also expected to roll out the final versions of iOS 26, iPadOS 26, watchOS 26, tvOS 26, and macOS Tahoe 26.

The launch comes as Apple continues to shift more of its iPhone production to India, including the iPhone 17 family for the US market.
