Apple’s latest entry-level iPhone, the iPhone 16e, has surprised many by launching without MagSafe support—a feature that has become standard in recent models.
However, third-party accessory makers like ESR and Spigen are stepping in to restore MagSafe compatibility with their latest case designs.
MagSafe Returns with ESR & Spigen Cases
While the iPhone 16e lacks built-in MagSafe, it still supports magnetic charging—but only with a compatible case.
ESR has introduced a lineup of MagSafe-compatible cases, including the Classic Hybrid and Cyber Tough series, which bring back support for MagSafe chargers and accessories like the HaloLock Power Bank Wallet.
Spigen is also offering MagSafe-ready cases, such as the Ultra Hybrid MagFit, starting at $20.
For those looking for extra durability, the Spigen Enzo Aramid ($39.99) and UAG Monarch Pro ($79.95) add rugged protection while maintaining MagSafe functionality.
A Trade-Off for Affordability
Despite its $599 price tag, the iPhone 16e’s lack of MagSafe could be seen as a cost-cutting move.
However, with third-party solutions available, users can still enjoy MagSafe charging and accessories—for an extra price.
