Apple has released iOS 26 Beta 2 for developers on June 23, 2025. This update follows the first beta, which came out on June 9, 2025.
It includes bug fixes, performance improvements, and refinements to the new Liquid Glass design language — a major visual update featuring translucent, glass-like interface elements across Apple’s platforms.
iOS 26 is the first Apple update to use a year-based versioning scheme. It also drops support for older devices like the iPhone XS, XS Max, and XR.
The new design language will be unified across iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, tvOS, and visionOS, giving Apple’s ecosystem a consistent look and feel.
Apple plans to release the public beta of iOS 26 in early July 2025, with the final stable version expected in mid-September 2025, likely alongside the launch of the iPhone 17.
Developers can download the beta now via the Software Update section on compatible devices.
