A recent leak has offered a fresh look at iOS 19, showing off new icons, floating bars, and redesigned apps. YouTuber Jon Prosser, who previously reported on internal builds of iOS 19, is back with more images based on alleged leaked versions of the operating system.
According to Prosser, the app icons will adopt a new shape, combining the current form with a more rounded edge. While they won’t look as circular as those in visionOS or watchOS, this subtle change is expected to make the interface feel more polished.
Additionally, Apple is rumored to enhance iOS with more depth and shadows in the menus, creating a visual effect where certain elements shimmer as the device is moved.
One notable update will be seen in the system’s Tab View. This feature, which manages tabs within apps, will resemble the design in visionOS and the Photos app on iOS 18. The new interface in apps like Music and the App Store will also include floating bars, while the search field in apps like Messages will now appear at the bottom of the screen for easier access.
The overall redesign may not be as dramatic as some expect, but it will bring a fresh feel to iOS 19. For instance, the Settings app will maintain its current structure but will feature new shadows and wider spacing between menu items.
Prosser had previously suggested that Apple was working on a new Camera app interface with floating buttons. This rumor was further supported by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, who claimed that iOS 19 and macOS 16 would deliver “the most significant upgrade” to the interface in years.
Apple’s WWDC 2025 keynote on June 9 will reveal the full details, but the artwork for the event already hints at visionOS-inspired features, including glass-like elements and added depth.
