New leaks have revealed more details about the rumored Apple iPhone Fold, which could be Apple’s first foldable smartphone. Reports suggest the device may launch in September alongside the upcoming Apple iPhone 18 Pro lineup.
According to a well-known tipster called Instant Digital on Weibo, the foldable iPhone could come with three storage options. These include 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB, giving users plenty of space for apps, photos, and videos.
The leak also revealed possible pricing in China. The base 256GB model could cost CNY 15,999, while the 512GB version may be priced at CNY 17,999. The top 1TB model could reportedly reach CNY 19,999.
If those prices are directly converted, the foldable iPhone could start at around $2,330. However, analysts at Macworld say Apple usually sets different prices across regions, which means the US price could start closer to $1,999.
Another report from the Korean outlet The Bell claims the device will feature 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM. The memory chips are expected to be supplied by Samsung Electronics.
The large RAM upgrade suggests Apple is preparing the device for heavy multitasking and a new foldable interface. Earlier rumors say the inner display could offer a tablet-like experience similar to an iPad.
Apple has not officially confirmed the foldable phone yet. However, leaks about the device have been appearing more often, suggesting development is moving forward.
