A recent Google survey of 1,005 full-time U.S. workers reveals that 93% of Gen Z employees (ages 22-27) are using two or more AI tools regularly, such as ChatGPT and Google Gemini.
These tools help with tasks like drafting emails, taking meeting notes, and overcoming language barriers. Millennials (ages 28-39) also use AI but at a lower rate of 79%.
AIโs primary appeal lies in its ability to streamline repetitive tasks, freeing up time for more strategic work. Gen Z sees AI as a key asset for improving leadership skills and productivity. Over half of respondents share AI experiences with coworkers, and 75% recommend tools they find useful.
In fact, 80% believe AI can enhance their managerial abilities, with 50% citing its potential to automate tasks and improve efficiency.
However, there are concerns about job displacement. A separate study shows 62% of Gen Z believes AI could replace their roles in the next decade, while 61% of U.S. companies plan to implement AI for automation soon.
Despite these fears, Gen Z professionals are focused on leveraging AI for career advancement, using it as a catalyst for leadership and efficiency in the workplace.
AI tools are not just a part of the daily workflow for Gen Z but a strategic tool for professional growth, presenting both opportunities and challenges as they navigate the evolving job landscape.
