A hotel manager testified in Sean “Diddy” Combs’ trial that the rapper frequently damaged hotel rooms by spilling candle wax and oils. The manager, Frédéric Zemmour, is the general manager of L’Ermitage Beverly Hills and spoke in federal court in Manhattan on May 22.
Zemmour said the hotel’s booking system keeps notes about guests, and Diddy’s name has appeared there since 2006. According to the manager, one bill for Diddy’s stay reached $2,000, with $500 charged for damage caused by candle wax and oils. The manager claimed Diddy often spilled wax on carpets and used large amounts of oil, which led to a permanent note in the hotel’s system.
The note reportedly said, “ALWAYS spills candle wax on everything and uses excessive amounts of oil, place the room out of order upon departure for deep cleaning.” Other notes requested extra charges and air freshener sprays outside Diddy’s rooms.
Diddy’s defense team did not question Zemmour after his testimony. Other witnesses in the trial have included Kid Cudi and a former assistant to Diddy.
One of the most talked-about moments in the trial so far was Kid Cudi’s testimony, where he accused Diddy of breaking into his house and setting his car on fire. This incident was said to be connected to both men dating singer Cassie, though they reportedly resolved their issues later.
The trial’s second week concluded on May 23, with more testimony expected after the weekend break.
