HMD is gearing up to launch a new flip phone, the HMD Icon Flip 1, and its full specs and images have just leaked. This device isn’t a smartphone but a feature phone running the S30+ operating system, designed with simplicity and practicality in mind.
The HMD Icon Flip 1 features a 2.8-inch main screen on the inside and a smaller 1.7-inch outer display. It also sports a 2 MP fixed-focus camera and a 1,500 mAh removable battery.
As for performance, it’s powered by the Unisoc T127 chipset, backed by 48MB of RAM and 128MB of storage, making it ideal for basic tasks. The phone supports 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.0, and includes a 3.5mm headphone jack for those who prefer wired audio.
Available in three bold color options — Magenta, Bleen, and Glossy Black — the Icon Flip 1 seems like a slightly updated version of the Nokia 2660 Flip released in 2022. Of course, it’s rebranded with HMD’s signature styling and a splash of color, though Glossy Black serves as a more subdued option for those who prefer a classic look.
As for pricing and availability, there’s no official word yet, but considering its specs, don’t expect it to come with a hefty price tag.
