Hina Yōmiya Cast as Kurokuma-sensei in ‘mono’ Anime

Hina Yōmiya has been cast as Kurokuma-sensei in the anime adaptation of Afro’s mono manga. Kurokuma-sensei is a horror manga creator. She debuted in episode 5 on May 10.

The anime premiered on April 12 on Tokyo MX, Tochigi TV, and more. It streams on ABEMA and d Anime Store in Japan. Crunchyroll streams it worldwide, with an English dub released on May 3.

Directed by Ryota Aikei, the anime blends high school life with horror. Takuya Miyahara handles character designs. Yoko Yonaiyama writes the script. The ending theme, “Weekend Roll,” is by halca.

Afro launched the manga in March 2017 in Manga Time Kirara Carat. It follows high school girls in a club combining cinema and photography. The fourth volume was released in April 2024.

Fans are eager to see more of Kurokuma-sensei in upcoming episodes. The show’s mix of horror and school life continues to captivate viewers.
