OD (Overdose) Game

After the release of Death Stranding 2, famed game director Hideo Kojima is turning attention to his next project, OD (Overdose), a horror game described as unlike anything before.

Produced in collaboration with filmmaker Jordan Peele, OD stars actors Hunter Schafer, Sophia Lillis, and Udo Kier. Though details are scarce, Kojima has called the game “a bit risky” and “a game like no other,” stirring high expectations among horror fans.

In a recent interview with Ssense, Kojima admitted that OD will be “something totally different,” and that people will either “love it or hate it.” He plans to follow early reactions through social media and reviews but believes the true verdict on the game will take “10 or 20 years from now” to emerge.

This perspective reflects Kojima’s history of creating timeless games. His Metal Gear series remains influential decades after release, and the canceled horror demo P.T. still has a devoted fanbase years later.

Beyond OD, Kojima is also working on a Death Stranding movie, described as more than just a game adaptation, promising a brand-new universe for fans.
