Arrowhead Game Studios and Microsoft have announced a major crossover between Helldivers 2 and Halo: ODST. The collaboration introduces the game’s first Legendary Warbond, launching on 26 August 2025.
The Warbond, priced at 1,500 Super Credits, brings Halo-inspired weapons, armor, and cosmetics to Helldivers 2. It coincides with the game’s debut on Xbox Series X|S, making it the first PlayStation-published title to arrive on Xbox. The content is available across all platforms, including PS5, PC, and Xbox.
The crossover includes four weapons: the MA5C Assault Rifle with an ammo counter, the suppressed M7S SMG, the M90A Shotgun with flashlight, and the M6C/SOCOM Pistol, which introduces suppressed sidearms to the game.
Two new armor sets, A-9 Helljumper and A-35 Recon, come with the “Feet First” passive, offering quieter movement, leg injury resistance, and a 30% boost in point-of-interest discovery. Players also gain ODST-themed capes, player cards, a “Rookie” title, and a “Mean Green” vehicle skin.
In Helldivers lore, the gear is rebranded as “Obedient Democracy Support Troopers,” blending Halo’s gritty aesthetic with the series’ satirical tone. The crossover was teased earlier with Halo: ODST music in a promotional trailer, fueling speculation among fans.
The Legendary Warbond is permanent, meaning players can unlock items at their own pace. It will not use the new Premium Warbond Tokens that launch the same day.
Fans have reacted with enthusiasm online, with posts from @helldivers2 and @IGN gaining attention on X. The crossover highlights growing platform collaboration, as Helldivers 2 expands to Xbox with full crossplay support.
