Marvel has officially revealed Gwen Stacy’s latest superhero design for an upcoming Spider-Man project, confirming her appearance in the animated series Spidey and His Amazing Friends. The character returns as Ghost-Spider, marking another high-profile use of Gwen as a superhero rather than a supporting love interest.
The design was unveiled ahead of the remaining episodes of Spidey and His Amazing Friends season four, which are set to be released in 2026. The show is aimed at younger audiences and features a core trio of heroes working together.
In the series, Gwen Stacy appears alongside Peter Parker’s Spider-Man and Miles Morales, known as Spin. Gwen operates under the Ghost-Spider name, which matches her identity in Marvel Comics, rather than the “Spider-Gwen” title popularised by the Spider-Verse films.
Her costume closely resembles her comic book look, featuring a white and purple suit with a hooded design. However, Marvel has introduced a new detail, a bright blue spider symbol on her chest, which sets this version apart from previous adaptations.
Gwen’s civilian look in the series also differs from other versions. She has blonde hair with vivid pink colouring at the tips, making her visually distinct from both Emma Stone’s live-action portrayal and Hailee Steinfeld’s animated Spider-Verse character.
Marvel has confirmed that season four will continue into 2026, with a fifth season already planned. The reveal comes as Spider-Man enters a busy period across film and television, with multiple projects featuring different versions of the character.
