Grand Theft Auto 6 has been crowned the Most Wanted Game of 2025 at the Golden Joystick Awards 2024.

This award highlights the most anticipated upcoming titles, and GTA 6 has captured the excitement of fans worldwide.

Despite Rockstar’s minimal updates since the game’s first trailer, the hype remains strong. With GTA 5 being one of the best-selling games ever, and a staggering 11 years passing since its release, fans have eagerly awaited this sequel.

Rockstar’s only major title in the interim was Red Dead Redemption 2, further fueling anticipation.

Winning this award wasn’t easy, with GTA 6 beating strong contenders like Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Death Stranding 2, Hollow Knight Silksong, and more.

This places it in esteemed company, alongside past winners like Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth and Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

As we approach 2025, it’s clear GTA 6 is set for a monumental year, likely to dominate discussions and sales in the gaming world.
