A Reddit user recently compared screenshots of GTA 6 with Cyberpunk 2077 by recreating scenes from Rockstar’s upcoming game inside Cyberpunk’s world. The comparison shows that GTA 6’s graphics look more realistic and detailed than Cyberpunk 2077’s visuals.
The Reddit user, NeonPrimeOrder1, pointed out that GTA 6’s skin textures and lighting effects are far superior, while Cyberpunk’s skin looks more plastic-like. They praised Rockstar for their graphical skills, calling the upgrade “phenomenal.”

Rockstar’s trailers for GTA 6 have impressed fans, with the second trailer showing much more realistic visuals than the first. This suggests Rockstar is working hard to make the game look as lifelike as possible.
While Cyberpunk 2077 sometimes looks choppy compared to GTA 6, the Redditor reminded fans that Cyberpunk was built to run on older consoles like the base PS4, and by the time GTA 6 releases, Cyberpunk will already be six years old.
Despite Cyberpunk 2077 being one of the best-looking games today, Rockstar seems ready to set a new graphical benchmark with GTA 6 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Longtime GTA fans know that Rockstar’s final games usually look even better than early trailers and teasers, so expectations are high for GTA 6’s release in May 2026.
