Google Updates Quick Share With New Send and Receive Modes

Google has begun releasing an updated version of its Quick Share feature, bringing a new interface and improved usability to file sharing across devices.

The redesign introduces a clearer split between “Send” and “Receive” modes. By default, Quick Share now opens in Receive mode, which highlights the device name and makes incoming file requests easier to see and accept.

In Send mode, users can access an integrated file picker that allows multiple files of different types to be selected and previewed before transfer. The update also adopts a layout similar to the version found on Samsung devices running One UI 8.

Quick Share already supports fast transfers between Android devices, Chromebooks, and Windows PCs. Reports suggest that Google is working on extending compatibility to iOS and macOS devices in the future.
