A new GameStop listing has revealed that Crimson Desert, a highly anticipated action RPG, may be coming to the Nintendo Switch 2. This marks yet another potential leak from the retailer ahead of the new console’s official game lineup.
Crimson Desert, developed by Pearl Abyss—the studio behind Black Desert Online—was previously confirmed for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, but not for Nintendo’s next-gen system. The new GameStop listing simply says “Coming Soon” under the Switch 2 version, with no release date mentioned.
The game features a massive open world, real-time combat, and cinematic visuals. It originally started as an MMORPG but shifted to a single-player adventure. Early trailers drew attention for their scale and beauty, with some fans calling it a “Korean Tears of the Kingdom.”
Though many are excited, some gamers are skeptical. Crimson Desert is a visually demanding title, and it’s unclear if the Switch 2 can handle the game’s scale. Still, if the listing is accurate, it could mean Nintendo’s new console is far more powerful than expected.
The game is rumored to launch in late 2025, but likely not on the Switch 2’s June 5 release date. Fans now expect an official announcement at the next Nintendo Direct or Summer Game Fest.
For now, all eyes are on Pearl Abyss for confirmation.
