Amber Rose has filed for divorce just six months after her marriage with the former NBA champion Dwight Howard, citing an “irretrievably broken” relationship.
The divorce petition was filed on July 1, 2025, in a Georgia court. Howard, 39, and Amber, a rapper and reality TV personality known professionally as Amy Luciani, tied the knot on January 11, 2025, following a public engagement in December 2024.
Court documents reveal that Amber is seeking an equal split of marital assets and property, as well as alimony. A mutual restraining order was also filed on July 2, one day after the divorce petition. Amber has since removed all images of Howard from her social media accounts.
Neither Dwight Howard nor Amber Rose Howard has commented publicly on the matter.
Howard is best known for his 18-season NBA career, including winning a championship with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2020 and earning three Defensive Player of the Year awards. He currently plays in the BIG3 League, a professional 3-on-3 basketball league.
