Fans Speculate Tyler The Creator’s “Rappers Threaten to Sue Me” Line Targets Drake

Tyler, The Creator’s verse on Clipse’s new song P.O.V., released on July 11 as part of the album Let God Sort Em Out, has drawn significant attention from fans and critics alike. While praised for his performance, a particular lyric has sparked widespread speculation.

In the verse, Tyler raps, “Little feature, n***as threaten to sue me? / Tell your lawyer to set the fee.” Fans quickly wondered if this was a subtle diss aimed at Drake, who is currently involved in a high-profile lawsuit against Universal Music Group over Kendrick Lamar’s diss track Not Like Us.

Social media users responded rapidly. One X user wrote, “Tyler, The Creator coming for Drake like oh I guess it’s my turn,” while another criticized the perceived diss as “bottom of barrel desperation rap.”

Although Tyler and Drake have no known public feud, Tyler’s close relationship with Pharrell Williams—who has had a long-standing conflict with Drake—adds fuel to the fan theories. Pharrell is a mentor to Tyler, and both Kendrick Lamar and Pusha T have defended Pharrell in past rap rivalries.

Let God Sort Em Out is Clipse’s first album in 15 years. Tyler The Creator has previously expressed admiration for Clipse and has collaborated with Pusha T earlier in his career.

Drake has not responded to the lyric or the surrounding speculation. He is expected to release his new solo album, ICEMAN, later this year.
