Fairphone is preparing to launch its new smartphone, the Fairphone 6, on June 25, 2025. Early leaks show the device will continue the company’s focus on modular design and repairability.
The Fairphone 6 will feature a flat plastic frame and back, replacing the rounded design of its predecessor. It is expected to come in three colors: Horizon Black, Cloud White, and Forest Green. A notable design change is the two-part back cover, allowing users to mix and match colors for the upper and lower sections.
True to Fairphone’s style, many key components will be user-replaceable. This includes the main wide and ultra-wide cameras, front camera, display, battery, speakers, earpiece, and USB-C port. The company will also offer new interchangeable accessories like a card holder, lanyard, and a ring to improve grip.
The phone is expected to have 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It will likely retail for around €549, making it more affordable than the Fairphone 5 at launch.
Fairphone continues to focus on sustainability and longevity by offering easy repairs and promising long software support. The Fairphone 6 is highly anticipated by fans who value ethical and repairable smartphones.
The official launch is expected at the end of June, with more details to follow soon.
