Formula 1 and Amelia Dimoldenberg, creator and host of Chicken Shop Date, are launching a new YouTube series called Passenger Princess. The four-part show will feature Amelia learning to drive with guidance from top Formula 1 drivers.
Produced by Amelia’s company, Dimz Inc., each episode combines her signature humour with the thrill of Formula 1. Drivers George Russell, Oscar Piastri, Ollie Bearman, and Carlos Sainz will act as her instructors as she works toward getting her driving licence.
Filmed at the 2025 Belgian Grand Prix, the series will be released on Amelia’s YouTube channel. Details about the challenges and tasks she faces will be shared before each episode.
Amelia said, “My dream has always been to tell stories and work with great collaborators. I’m proud to work with such an iconic brand as F1 on this series. Although I don’t know how to drive, I’m excited to put my passenger – and interviewing – skills to good use.”
Formula 1 executives highlighted that the show is part of their strategy to reach new audiences outside traditional race weekends. Ian Holmes, Chief Media Rights and Broadcasting Officer, said, “We are thrilled to put Amelia in the driving seat on a Formula 1 track with a few good drivers we know. This series is another way to introduce fans to the world of racing.”
Emily Prazer, Chief Commercial Officer, added, “Passenger Princess will combine Amelia’s wit and charm with the drama and excitement of Formula 1. It is designed to engage our rapidly growing young fan base.”
With over 820 million fans globally, including a significant number under 35 and a growing female audience, Formula 1 expects the series to attract new viewers while delighting Amelia’s 3.15 million social media followers.
