Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Ultra is set to build on the success of its predecessor, the S24 Ultra. Here’s what we know so far about the upcoming flagship.
Display Improvements The Galaxy S25 Ultra will feature a similar design to the S24 Ultra, with sharper corners. A key upgrade will be the introduction of Corning’s second-generation Gorilla Glass Armour, enhancing durability and display clarity, especially in bright light.
Camera Upgrades The S25 Ultra’s main camera system will mostly carry over from the S24 Ultra. However, the ultrawide camera will see an upgrade to a 50-megapixel sensor, improving detail and enabling 8K recording.
Galaxy AI Integration Samsung’s push into generative AI, seen in the S24 Ultra, will continue with the S25 Ultra. Expect enhanced AI features, driven by a year of development and increased on-device performance.
Safety Features Car crash detection, previously available but disabled on the S24 Ultra, is expected to be activated on the S25 Ultra, as indicated by the latest beta software.
Satellite Connectivity Samsung’s ongoing work on satellite connectivity will likely be featured in the S25 Ultra, following its absence in the S24 Ultra.
Launch Date The Galaxy S25 Ultra is expected to be unveiled at the Galaxy Unpacked event on January 22, 2025, with pre-orders opening shortly after. Shipments are set to begin on February 7, 2025.
