Eminem has announced the release of his new single “Tobey” featuring Big Sean and BabyTron on July 2, 2024. The track is the second single from Eminem’s upcoming album “The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce)“.
In a teaser for the song, Eminem is depicted wearing a Jason Voorhees hockey mask and wielding a chainsaw, drenched in blood as he dismembers a figure, with Big Sean and BabyTron observing. The ominous production sets the stage for Big Sean to deliver a Spider-Man reference in his verse, alluding to Tobey Maguire.
The music video, directed by Cole Bennett, is scheduled to premiere on July 5. “Tobey” marks Eminem’s first collaboration with BabyTron and his fourth with Big Sean, following their previous joint efforts on tracks like “No Favors,” “Friday Night Cypher,” and “Detroit Vs. Everybody”.
The album rollout began with Eminem’s nostalgic single “Houdini,” which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100. “The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce)” is expected to be Eminem’s 12th studio album and is set to drop sometime this summer.
