Edifier’s Huazai brand has entered the open-ear audio market with its new Zero Clip earbuds, launching in China at 359 yuan ($50). The earbuds are now available through JD.com, offering a compelling mix of features at a competitive price point.
The Zero Clip stands out with its innovative open-ear design, featuring C-shaped memory steel supports and a 12-degree ear clip angle engineered for comfort. This design approach eliminates the common pressure points associated with traditional earbuds.
The earbuds come in three colors – Pearl White, Obsidian Black, and Cocoa Brown – and boast an IP56 rating for dust and water resistance, making them suitable for workouts and outdoor activities.
At the heart of the Zero Clip’s audio performance is a 12mm titanium-coated composite diaphragm driver, paired with DPW directional sound wave technology. This combination aims to deliver precise sound while minimizing audio leakage.
The earbuds also feature BassTurbo low-frequency enhancement and offer four customizable EQ profiles through the Edifier Connect app, allowing users to tailor their listening experience.
On the technical front, the Zero Clip employs Bluetooth 5.4 for connectivity and supports multi-device pairing. Battery life is impressive at 35 hours total, with fast charging capability providing 3 hours of playback from a 15-minute charge. The earbuds incorporate AI noise reduction for clear calls and feature SwiftAgile Touch controls for easy operation.
This launch follows Edifier’s recent expansion of its audio lineup, which includes the X3 Pro earbuds with active noise cancellation and the Hecate G2500bar gaming speakers, demonstrating the company’s commitment to diverse audio solutions.
