Drake Targets LeBron, Rick Ross in New Song as ICEMAN Album Hype Builds

Canadian rapper Drake has officially confirmed that his upcoming album ICEMAN is “coming soon,” sparking renewed anticipation among fans following a series of high-profile feuds and cryptic teasers. The announcement came during a surprise livestream and late-night drive through Toronto on July 4, capping off a week of speculation around the project.

While no exact release date has been revealed, fans hope the full album could arrive as early as next week. The livestream concluded with a promotional graphic for ICEMAN, further solidifying that the album rollout is now officially underway.

Drake also dropped a new track, “What Did I Miss?”, during the event, which quickly drew attention for its pointed lyrics. Many interpreted the song as a continuation of his ongoing conflict with Kendrick Lamar, while also calling out other celebrities such as LeBron James, Rick Ross, Tyler, The Creator, The Weeknd, and DeMar DeRozan. The track includes references to betrayal, with fans highlighting lines that hint at resentment from his One Direction-era collaborators, as well as industry peers.

Another track previewed during the stream, tentatively titled “Supermax,” appears to take a more introspective tone. Sports journalist Taylor Rooks confirmed via social media that a reference to “Taylor” in the lyrics was about her.

The album’s rollout follows months of online speculation and a heated lyrical exchange between Drake and Kendrick Lamar earlier this year, which drew widespread media and fan attention. It also continues the thematic style of Drake’s recent work, which has increasingly blended personal commentary with broader cultural criticism.

Drake last toured extensively in 2023 and has remained in the spotlight through a mix of music releases and high-profile conflicts. If ICEMAN continues the momentum sparked by “What Did I Miss?”, it may become one of the most talked-about albums of 2025.
