Drake and popular streamer Kai Cenat will host a live stream on Thursday, June 12, at 8 PM EST. The event happens at the same time as Kendrick Lamar’s Grand National Tour in Toronto, Canada.
Kai Cenat shared the livestream news on social media on Wednesday night, June 11. The livestream will highlight Drake’s new single, “Somebody Loves Me,” and feature video submissions from fans. Cenat said 20 fans will get a chance to direct official videos for the track, with funding from Drake.
“Thank you to everyone who shared their video submission for Somebody Loves Me,” Cenat wrote on Instagram. “Tomorrow, Drake and I are going live to review them with you guys. We’ll show some of my favorites, some not-so-good ones, and announce which 20 people will get money to bring their ideas to life.”
While Drake and Cenat go live, Kendrick Lamar and SZA will perform at Toronto’s Rogers Centre for the first night of the Grand National Tour. The concert starts at 7 PM EST and is presented by Live Nation.
Fans online quickly noticed the timing. One Instagram user said, “Ironic, I’m going to the Kendrick concert tomorrow in Toronto.” Another added, “Drake on stream, Kendrick rockin’ your hometown stadium, this is hilarious.”
This livestream announcement comes days after Cenat spoke with Kendrick Lamar and SZA at the BET Awards 2025. Lamar won multiple awards at the event, including Album of the Year for GNX and Video of the Year for Not Like Us.
Meanwhile, Drake is preparing to release his next album, ICEMAN, expected later in 2025. He is also involved in a legal battle with UMG over the song Not Like Us, with a court recently granting him limited access to UMG’s records.
As Kendrick’s success continues, Drake is using this livestream to spotlight his next chapter in music.
