Drake has released his new joint album with PARTYNEXTDOOR, $ome $exy $ongs 4 U, on February 14, 2025.
The album features 21 tracks, but one song, “Gimme a Hug,” is getting the most attention. In this track, Drake touches on his past rap beefs, including his conflicts with Joe Budden and Kendrick Lamar.
In the song, Drake talks about people who want to see him fail, saying, “Funny how it’s only [critics] waiting on the boy’s obituary.” He also calls out Joe Budden, referencing Budden’s past relationship with Melyssa Ford.
While the track contains some direct lines, it does not seem to reignite the drama. Instead, Drake focuses on moving forward and making party music, not diss tracks.
Fans have been waiting for this album since Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR teased it last year. The two artists first hinted at the project during PARTYNEXTDOOR’s Sorry I’m Outside tour in Toronto.
The album cover, shot in Mississauga, Canada, was revealed just days before the official release.
$ome $exy $ongs 4 U is Drake’s first major project since 2024, when he had a lyrical exchange with Kendrick Lamar.
The album is now available on all streaming platforms, giving fans a fresh set of tracks to enjoy.
