Star Wars: Skeleton Crew

Star Wars fans have a new show to look forward to with Skeleton Crew, which will now premiere on December 2 at 6 PM PT and 9 PM ET on Disney Plus. The series moves up its original release date by one day.

The show follows four kids lost in the Star Wars galaxy, searching for their home planet. Created by Jon Watts, Skeleton Crew aims to introduce new fans to the Star Wars universe through a unique perspective. Watts hopes viewers will experience the familiar galaxy through the eyes of 10-year-old characters.

Jude Law stars in the series, with early hints suggesting his character might be a complex figure potentially related to the Jedi. The show is set five years after Return of the Jedi, a period when Jedi are supposed to be rare.

Unlike recent Star Wars projects like Andor, Skeleton Crew is specifically designed to be more kid-friendly. However, the series faces challenges similar to other Disney Star Wars shows, including the need for strong viewership to secure future seasons.

Disney has not confirmed whether this will be a single-season series or a potential multi-season project. The show’s success will likely depend on audience reception and viewership numbers.
