Diddy Found Not Guilty of Sex Trafficking, Convicted on Prostitution Charges

Sean “Diddy” Combs was found not guilty of the most serious charges in his federal trial, including racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion. The accusations were connected to two women, one of whom is R&B singer Cassie Ventura.

However, the jury did convict Combs on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. One count was related to Ventura, and the other involved a woman identified only as “Jane.” Each of these charges carries a maximum sentence of 10 years.

A High-Profile Trial with a Mixed Outcome

The trial lasted about seven weeks. The prosecution called 34 witnesses to support its case. Combs’ defense team did not call any witnesses. After hearing all the evidence, the jury deliberated for just over two days before reaching a mixed verdict.

Cassie Ventura’s Key Role

Cassie, a central witness in the trial, said that while the jury did not convict Combs on the sex trafficking charges, her testimony helped secure the prostitution convictions. She described the result as a step toward justice in holding powerful individuals accountable.

What’s Next?

The judge has not yet decided if Combs will remain free until sentencing. He now faces up to 20 years in prison—10 years for each count.

Combs has denied all allegations, saying the relationships were consensual. The verdict shows that while he was cleared of the most serious accusations, the jury still found him responsible for criminal actions.
