The 51st Deauville American Film Festival, running from September 5 to 14, will celebrate cinema with a star-studded lineup of films and tributes.
Pamela Anderson will receive the Deauville Talent Award on opening night, September 5, honoring her career and philanthropy. Her recent work includes Paramount’s “Naked Gun” reboot and upcoming projects such as “Rosebush Pruning” and Michael Cera’s “Love Is Not the Answer.”
Legendary actress Kim Novak, known for “Vertigo” and “The Man With the Golden Arm,” will be honored with an Honorary Award on September 6. The tribute will include screenings of her iconic films and Alexandre O. Philippe’s documentary Kim Novak’s Vertigo.
Kristen Stewart will present her directorial debut, Chronology of Water, and will be given the opportunity to showcase her favorite films. Stewart will also participate in a conversation event supported by Chanel.
The festival’s lineup features anticipated premieres including Oliver Hermanus’s The History of Sound, Kelly Reichardt’s The Mastermind, Yórgos Lánthimos’s Bugonia, and Richard Linklater’s Nouvelle Vague.
Zoey Deutch will receive the Hollywood Rising Star Award, and a special screening of Joachim Trier’s Cannes Grand Prix winner Sentimental Value is planned.
Golshifteh Farahani, star of Alpha, will serve as jury president for the festival.
