As Nintendo edges closer to revealing the Switch’s successor, new leaks are providing intriguing insights into what the next-gen console might look like.
Dbrand, a company known for its accessory designs, has shared an updated mockup of the Nintendo Switch 2, revealing key details about its size and features.
According to Dbrandโs CEO, Adam Ijaz, the company has โactual dimensionsโ based on a 3D scan of the real hardware.
The Switch 2 is expected to be larger than the Switch OLED, measuring 270mm wide, 116mm tall, and 14mm thick.
The console will feature a larger 8-inch screen and a redesigned kickstand, which will still be around half the height of the console.
One notable feature is the addition of a second button on the right Joy-Con, placed under the Home button.
While the function of this mysterious “C” button remains unclear, it could potentially serve as a new camera control or have a different purpose entirely.
Additionally, the Joy-Cons are believed to be magnetically attached, with an ejection button located near the top.
Dbrandโs Killswitch 2 case also hints at a second USB-C port on the top of the device, which would allow for charging while in tabletop modeโa feature not available on the current Switch model.
While the release date remains uncertain, Dbrand anticipates launching its case in late March or early April 2025.
These details, while unofficial, paint a picture of a more powerful and versatile Nintendo Switch 2, and fans can expect further announcements from Nintendo in the coming months.
