CD Projekt Red’s iconic RPG, Cyberpunk 2077, is returning to the pages of comics with a new series titled Cyberpunk 2077: Chrome, Dark Horse Comics has confirmed. The first issue is set to release on 16 January 2026.

The four-issue series will be led by Tommaso Bennato and Doug Wagner. It promises a unique twist on the franchise, combining the familiar world of Night City with classic horror elements.

According to the creative team, the story follows a group of friends—including a netrunner, a graffiti artist, an aspiring rockerboy, and an autotechie—who visit a landfill for a photoshoot. There, amid heaps of scrap and metal, they encounter a terrifying mystery that goes beyond ordinary ghosts.

Cyberpunk 2077: Chrome is being billed as the first Night City story to embrace a true slasher-horror style, rather than simply featuring violence for quick thrills. It will be the 13th limited comic series in the Cyberpunk 2077 canon.

Previous series, including Cyberpunk 2077: XOXO, have explored gang conflicts, romance, and deeper aspects of the game’s world, remaining faithful to the original setting.

While the release schedule for the remaining three issues has not yet been announced, fans can expect a compendium edition in the future, collecting all issues in a single volume.
