Netflix has officially revealed the release date and teaser for Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery, the third film in the popular murder mystery series. Starring Daniel Craig as detective Benoit Blanc, the movie will premiere on December 12, 2025.
The teaser opens with Craig ominously saying, “The impossible crime,” while dark, dramatic visuals—including scenes of a church—hint at a more sinister story this time around. While the full plot remains under wraps, Netflix promises this will be Blanc’s “most dangerous case yet.”
The star-studded cast includes Kerry Washington, Josh Brolin, Cailee Spaeny, Josh O’Connor, Mila Kunis, Andrew Scott, Glenn Close, Jeremy Renner, Thomas Haden Church, Daryl McCormack, Annie Hamilton, Kerry Frances, and Marcus Edward Bond.
Director Rian Johnson, who also wrote the film, returns after helming the previous two installments, Knives Out and Glass Onion. Josh Brolin and Josh O’Connor are said to play priests, while Mila Kunis plays a police chief named G. Scott.
Wake Up Dead Man is produced by Johnson and Ram Bergman under their T-Street banner and will be distributed by Netflix as part of a two-sequel deal following the success of Glass Onion.
