Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders Return to Netflix for Season 2 of “America’s Sweethearts”

The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders are back on Netflix. Season 2 of America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders will premiere on June 18. The new season will follow the 2024-25 cheerleading squad from auditions through the NFL season.

The first season was a hit, showing the cheerleaders’ real lives on and off the field. It quickly reached Netflix’s Top 10 worldwide with 2.3 million views in four days and stayed in the Top 10 U.S. TV shows for five weeks. One memorable moment was the cheer squad’s viral “Thunderstruck” AC/DC routine on TikTok.

Emmy Award-winning director Greg Whiteley returns to lead the series. He said in an interview that filming Season 1’s final weeks really showed the team’s potential. He hopes Season 2 will explore the cheerleaders’ stories even more deeply.

Key people behind the show include Kelli Finglass, Senior Director of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, and Judy Trammell, Head Choreographer. Cheerleader Reece Weaver will return for Season 2.

This series is part of Netflix’s ongoing collaboration with the Dallas Cowboys, which also includes a new docuseries coming in August.

Fans can look forward to exciting new moments and personal stories when Season 2 premieres this June.
