Cyberpunk 2077 continues to surprise fans with ongoing updates years after its troubled launch. CD Projekt RED recently teased a new update called Patch 2.3, promising even more improvements and content for the sci-fi RPG later this month.
When Cyberpunk 2077 first launched in December 2020, it was widely criticized for bugs and poor performance, especially on older consoles.
Since then, CD Projekt RED has worked tirelessly to fix issues, release free next-gen upgrades, and add new content — steadily transforming the game into the experience players initially hoped for.
Despite often saying each update would be the last, the developers keep coming back with more patches. Community manager Marcin Momot tweeted, “We’re not done yet! Stay tuned for more info about the next Cyberpunk 2077 update coming later this month.” Associate game director Paweł Sasko added, “We have been cooking for you in secret for a bit.”
Fans have mixed feelings about the constant updates. Some express frustration at waiting to start a stable playthrough, while others appreciate the ongoing support. Comments like “BUT THEY WON’T STOP” and “CDPR, kings of one last update” show the divided fanbase.
With The Witcher 4 also on the horizon, it’s impressive that CD Projekt RED remains committed to Cyberpunk 2077. The game is now available on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch, and the upcoming Patch 2.3 promises to keep the momentum going.
Stay tuned for more news when the update drops soon.
