CD Projekt has confirmed there will be no more DLC or expansions for Cyberpunk 2077 — and fans are not happy about it.
The Polish studio made the announcement on social media after a fan cheekily asked the official Cyberpunk 2077 account when the game would be getting “secret new DLC.” The response was blunt: “We have no plans for additional DLCs or expansions. If anything changes, we will inform you all.”
Fans were quick to express their disappointment. “So you’re really gonna have us wait 5+ more years for any new Cyberpunk content,” wrote one. “Come ooooooon, just a small expansion pleeeeeeease,” said another.
The news means fans will have to wait for Cyberpunk 2 to return to the neon-lit dystopian world of Night City. That wait could be a long one — CD Projekt’s co-CEO has suggested Cyberpunk 2 won’t arrive until at least 2030.
The announcement came at an interesting time. Reports have been circulating that CD Projekt is quietly working on a secret DLC for The Witcher 3, which would reportedly feature a Dune-style desert location. That game is already over a decade old.
CD Projekt has a packed schedule ahead. The Witcher 4 is in production and expected no earlier than 2027. After that, the studio has an ambitious six-year plan that includes The Witcher 5 and The Witcher 6 as well.
So if you were hoping to jump back into Cyberpunk 2077 with fresh content, it looks like Night City is closed for business — for now.
