Crunchyroll is bringing anime fans a new way to enjoy their favorite shows with Anime Nights, a special theatrical event launching this October. The event will take place in over 225 theaters across the United States.
Anime Nights aims to create a shared experience where fans can watch anime on the big screen together. The monthly event will feature fan-favorite films, curated TV episodes, anniversaries, classic titles, and exclusive previews of new Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment anime.
The first screening will be Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid on October 20. Following that, fans can celebrate the 10th anniversary of Overlord with a special screening on November 17. The year will close with a secret sneak peek of upcoming Crunchyroll anime series.
Mitchel Berger, Crunchyroll’s EVP of commerce, said Anime Nights is more than just movie screenings. It “honors the art form” and invites fans to connect with creators in a theatrical setting.
This new event follows Crunchyroll’s success with big theatrical releases like Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle, which premieres September 12. Also coming soon is the Chainsaw Man movie, set for October 29 in the US and UK.
Anime fans have plenty to look forward to this fall in cinemas.
