A couple from Connecticut was arrested after engaging in sexual acts in front of children during a JetBlue flight from New York to Florida.
The incident occurred on July 19, when a mother traveling with her two children alerted a flight attendant. According to an arrest affidavit, the woman reported that a couple seated nearby were involved in inappropriate behavior. The flight attendant later witnessed the woman making “up-and-down movements” with her head on the man’s lap.
The couple — identified as Trista L. Reilly, 43, and Christopher D. Arnold, 42, both of Danbury, Connecticut — were arrested after the plane landed at Sarasota Bradenton International Airport in Florida.
Both were charged with two felony counts of lewd and lascivious exhibition in the presence of minors. The children also confirmed witnessing the incident. Authorities said Arnold has a prior arrest record, including charges of disorderly conduct and assault from earlier this year.
JetBlue responded to the incident by saying the behavior was “completely unacceptable” and confirmed that the couple is now banned from flying with the airline.
Reilly and Arnold were released after being booked and are scheduled to appear in court for arraignment on August 15.
