Chris Brown has earned his 20th No. 1 on Billboard’s Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart with his single “Residuals.”
The track took the top spot on the list dated Dec. 7, becoming the most-played song on U.S. mainstream R&B/hip-hop radio stations during the week of Nov. 22-28, according to Luminate.
“Residuals” ascended from No. 2, with a 4% increase in weekly plays, dethroning GloRilla’s “TGIF,” which had enjoyed a 10-week run at No. 1. This marks Brown’s second chart-topper of 2024, following “Sensational” in March.
With his 20th No. 1, Brown ties with Lil Wayne for the second-most No. 1s on this chart since its inception in 1992. They trail only Drake, who holds the record with 46. Here’s the ranking of artists with the most No. 1s on Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay:
