ChatGPT has officially surpassed 300 million weekly active users, a milestone OpenAI CEO Sam Altman shared at The New York Times’ DealBook Summit.

This marks a significant growth from the 200 million weekly users reported just a few months ago in August.

Altman revealed that users now send more than 1 billion messages per day to ChatGPT, highlighting the chatbot’s increasing popularity and engagement.

Since its launch in 2022, ChatGPT has rapidly evolved with new features like an AI search engine and the “Canvas” interface for adjusting code.

Additionally, Apple is integrating ChatGPT into Siri as part of the upcoming iOS 18.2 update, potentially broadening its user base even further.
