Busch Light is running a bold new campaign: one lucky fan who legally changes their name to Hunter will win enough beer to last 19 years.

The promotion is part of the brand’s seasonal campaign, celebrating its popular Hunting Cans. Busch Light says the name Hunter has dropped in popularity by 93% over the past five years, and they are encouraging fans to revive it. The company will cover the legal fees and paperwork for anyone who participates.

To enter, fans must post proof of their name change on Busch Light’s social media pages using the hashtags #BecomeAHunter and #Sweepstakes. The contest runs through Oct. 13, 2025.

Krystyn Stowe, Head of Marketing at Busch Light, said, “We’re celebrating our shared love for the great outdoors with not only new Busch Light Hunting Cans, but also a hunt for fans who’d honor the sport by changing their name. That’s what we call the spirit of the hunt.”

Additionally, Busch Light will host a private event in Appleton, Wisconsin, on Nov. 16, featuring merch giveaways, hunting games, and an appearance from the brand mascot, the Busch Guy. Fans 21 and older, named Hunter or willing to change their name, can RSVP to attend through Oct. 27, 2025.
