BTS member Jin has been chosen to carry the Olympic torch for South Korea at the 2024 Paris Olympics. The announcement was made on July 2, 2024, by his agency, HYBE.

Jin, who recently finished his military service, will run with the Olympic flame through various locations in France. The torch relay aims to spread the message of “harmony” and “peace.”

The Olympic Torch Relay is a tradition that starts in Olympia, Greece. The flame travels to the host country and city before the Olympics begin. This tradition started at the 1936 Berlin Olympics.

The Paris Olympics will take place from July 26 to August 11, 2024. NBC and its streaming service Peacock will broadcast the games. Rapper Snoop Dogg will join NBC’s team and provide regular updates from Paris.

Jin’s participation in the torch relay is another proud moment for BTS. It combines music, public service, and international recognition in a meaningful way.
