Breaking Bad fans can breathe a sigh of relief as Netflix has confirmed the iconic show will remain on the platform until at least 18th April 2027.
This announcement comes after fears that the series might be removed earlier, following reports in 2022 suggesting a potential removal date of 10th February 2025.
The extended stay is reportedly linked to the spin-off series Better Call Saul, which was added to Netflix on 18th April 2023.
Both shows are now set to leave the platform on the same date in 2027, unless Netflix renews the licensing agreement.
Given Breaking Bad’s enduring popularity, there’s a strong possibility the streaming giant will seek to extend its availability further.
Breaking Bad, which first aired in 2008, follows the transformation of Walter White, a high school chemistry teacher turned methamphetamine manufacturer, as he navigates the criminal underworld to secure his family’s financial future.
The show’s intricate storytelling, character development, and iconic moments have cemented its place as one of the greatest TV dramas of all time.
While fans can continue to enjoy Breaking Bad on Netflix, the platform is also adding other binge-worthy shows like Yellowstone, set to drop on 30th January.
For those craving more gripping dramas, Netflix offers a range of options, including Giri/Haji, The Night Agent, and Kin, all of which have garnered critical acclaim and fan praise.
For now, Breaking Bad remains a must-watch, and its extended stay on Netflix ensures fans can revisit Walter White’s journey for years to come.
