Actress Blake Lively has spoken out after a judge dismissed several of her claims in a legal dispute with her It Ends With Us co-star Justin Baldoni.
The case centres on events that allegedly took place during the filming of It Ends With Us in 2023 and 2024. Lively filed a legal complaint in December 2024, accusing Baldoni and others involved in the production of creating a hostile work environment and retaliating after she reported misconduct.
In a recent ruling, a judge dismissed 10 of the 13 claims brought by Lively. The court said those claims could not reasonably support a legal case. The decision leaves only a small number of allegations to move forward.
The ruling is seen as a setback for the actress ahead of a trial expected to take place in New York City in May. Baldoni and his company Wayfarer Studios have also filed a lawsuit seeking significant damages.
Following the decision, Lively shared a statement on social media. She said she would continue to fight against what she described as systems that silence or retaliate against victims.
“I will never stop doing my part in fighting to expose the systems and people who seek to harm, shame, silence and retaliate against victims,” she wrote.
Lively said she was grateful that parts of her case will still be heard in court. She added that she hopes speaking out may encourage others who face similar situations.
The legal dispute between the two actors has drawn wide public attention. With the trial approaching, both sides are expected to present their arguments before a jury in the coming weeks.
