K-pop group BLACKPINK has achieved another major milestone, with their latest single “Jump“ reaching the top of Spotify’s Weekly Top Songs Global Chart, according to their agency, YG Entertainment.
The song climbed to No. 1 on the chart updated Thursday, marking BLACKPINK’s second time reaching the top spot on Spotify’s global rankings. Their first No. 1 was “Shut Down,” the lead single from their second full album.
With this achievement, BLACKPINK becomes the only K-pop girl group to top the global chart twice, YG Entertainment highlighted in a statement.
Since its release on July 11, “Jump” has accumulated over 44 million streams on Spotify. The track also held the No. 1 position on Spotify’s global daily top songs chart for six consecutive days.
The new song represents a stylistic shift for the group. According to YG Entertainment, “Jump” blends guitar riffs inspired by Western films with BLACKPINK’s signature vocal style, giving fans a fresh sound while keeping the group’s distinct energy.
