Billie Eilish has released her third studio album, HIT ME HARD AND SOFT, on May 17, 2024.
After teasing the project on billboards in various locations, she announced the album on April 8.

Background on Making the Album
Eilish made her last album “Happier Than Ever” in 2021 by recording songs in her brother Finneas’ home studio basement in Los Angeles. “Happier Than Ever” was very successful – it was #1 on the Billboard charts and won Grammy awards.
After that album, Eilish released an EP called “Guitar Songs” in 2022 and a song for the Barbie movie in 2023 which won her an Oscar. In late 2022, she started working on ideas for her third full album with her brother. By the end of 2023, she said the album was almost finished recording.
Promoting the New Album
In April 2024, billboards with snippets of lyrics from the new album showed up in cities like the lyrics “She’s the headlights I’m the deer.” Eilish also changed her social media pictures to tease the album. A short clip of a new song “Birds of a Feather” played to promote a Netflix show.
