GloRilla has been named the hottest female rapper of 2024 by Billboard, securing the top spot on the year-end list of women in rap.

The Memphis rapper surpassed major names like Megan Thee Stallion, Cardi B, and Latto to claim this prestigious honor.

Despite facing challenges in 2023, including a less-than-warm reception to singles like “Cha Cha,” GloRilla bounced back with her hit song “Yeah Glo!” which reached the top 30 on the Hot 100 early this year.

Billboard’s Carl Lamarre praised the track, noting it showcased GloRilla’s resilience, proving she would not fold under pressure.

The success continued with the top 15 hit “Wanna Be,” featuring Megan Thee Stallion, and the summer anthem “TGIF.”

Her debut album, “GLORIOUS,” debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 with 69,000 album-equivalent units sold, solidifying her status as rap’s breakout star.

Lamarre called this achievement the “cherry on top” of an already stellar year for GloRilla.
