Beyoncé and Jay-Z are reportedly planning to move from Los Angeles to the United Kingdom due to repeated wildfire threats to their California homes. Sources say the couple is in the final stages of purchasing a 58-acre estate in the Cotswolds, with a guide price of £8.5 million.
The decision appears influenced by the California wildfires, which have previously endangered their properties. Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles, confirmed that her Malibu home was destroyed in the January 2025 fires.
The new estate is located near the village of Great Tew, an area popular with celebrities, including Ellen DeGeneres, David and Victoria Beckham, and Simon Cowell. Reports suggest that being close to friends may have factored into their choice of location.
While the couple intends to maintain their residences in Los Angeles, they are seeking a more permanent home in the UK, particularly for the safety and stability of their three children.
As of now, Beyoncé and Jay-Z have not officially confirmed their relocation plans.
