Bad Bunny, the Puerto Rican rapper and singer, addressed critics of his upcoming Super Bowl LX Halftime Show during his Saturday Night Live hosting gig on Oct. 4.

“I’m very happy, and I think everyone is happy about it — even Fox News,” Bad Bunny joked, referencing clips from the network praising him.

He emphasized that the performance is not just for him but for the Latino community in the United States. Speaking in Spanish, he said, “It’s more than a win for myself, it’s a win for all of us. Our footprints and our contribution in this country, no one will ever be able to take that away or erase it.”

The artist also joked about performing in Spanish, saying, “If you didn’t understand what I just said. You have four months to learn.”

Bad Bunny was announced as the Super Bowl LX Halftime Show performer on Sept. 28. The show will take place at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, in February 2026 and is sponsored by Apple Music.

Reflecting on the opportunity, Bad Bunny stated that the performance honors his culture and history. “This is for my people, my culture, and our history,” he wrote on social media, adding a playful nod to his abuela.
